I have been living in the same small house for 7 years in a good area. I am 26 with a 5 year old son, his father has never been in the picture. Over the 7 years my rent has gone up 120% and it will come as no surprise that my wages have not risen at a similar rate! I work in retail at often difficult hours because of taking care of my son.

I fell behind in rent, just down every month by 150-200. I was trying so hard, i would have to pick which bills to pay, miss meals so my son could eat. Eventually my landlord came to inspect the place and tell me it would be raised again to match market value. At this point i was 2000+ behind with the new increase coming and i had no where else to go, my son just started school as well.

My landlord suggested the arrangement and I reluctantly agreed. Feeling no other options.

I did feel a lot of shame at the beginning, sex for me is very intimate and emotional so it has been a hard thing to deal with at times, plus with the situation I have felt pushed to do things I wouldn't usually do. Things have settled into a routine though and I think once the novelty wore off for him its just become some normal sex a few times a month.

More than anything now though I feel proud of myself. Strong enough to endure because being able to give my son a proper Christmas, with Christmas decorations and proper presents made me so happy.

I now have all my bills paid on time and my credit card is paid off after only 6 months. I can actually start to save for our future.
